The SWCD works with educators to develop Enviornmental Education programs suitable for the classroom or the out-of-doors.  Past and current programs include Water Day, Composting, Hoosier Riverwatch, and Mini-Envirothon (a combination of stations were students learn about soils, wildlife, water quality, forestry, etc.).

The SWCD also hosts workshops and field days to provide information and discussion opportunities in the conservation of our natural resources.

The SWCD maintains a "Lending Library" that can be used in the teaching of environmental education.  Items include books, magazines, slide or tape sets, games, activity guides, posters, etc.
