The Northeast Indiana Conservation Camp is held each year in August for youth, ages 9-13, at Camp Whitley, on Troy-Cedar Lake, near Columbia City, IN.  The 3-day camp study program includes hands-on activities in wildlife, forestry, soils and water.  Recreational activities include sports, swimming, crafts and special evening programs.  Donations from area businesses to the Wells Co. SWCD - Mary Thomas Camp Fund helps pay for part of the cost for the campers to attend.  Contact the SWCD office for date, fees, and application forms.
